Welcome to CLT Shooters (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions and Policies (“Terms”) govern your use of all CLT Shooters websites, digital platforms, services, events, workshops, forums, memberships, publications, content, products, and activities (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our Services immediately.

CLT Shooters is a creative media company focused on Charlotte lifestyle, storytelling, entertainment and the creative community. We host events, offer memberships and workshops, produce media and publications, sell merchandise and digital products, and provide photography and videography services. Our Services are designed to support creatives, businesses, and the broader community, but they are governed by the following terms to ensure safety, clarity, and fairness for all involved.

These Terms apply to all users, customers, attendees, members, visitors, and participants, including individuals, companies, and organizations. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.

1. Definitions

• “Services” refers to all websites, workshops, events, memberships, publications, merchandise, digital products, forums, shoots, and offerings provided by CLT Shooters.

• “You” refers to the user, member, attendee, purchaser, participant, or entity accessing or using our Services.

• “Content” refers to any photos, videos, audio, text, graphics, creative works, media, or materials produced by CLT Shooters.

• “Submissions” refers to any materials, including photos, videos, text, or creative works submitted to CLT Shooters by users, members, or contributors.

• “Digital Products” refers to downloadable or online materials, such as presets, guides, eBooks, digital magazines, or templates.

• “Events” refers to any workshop, styled shoot, class, meetup, networking event, or gathering hosted or facilitated by CLT Shooters.

• “Third-Party Services” refers to platforms, websites, products, or services operated by entities other than CLT Shooters.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any CLT Shooters Services — including browsing our website, purchasing merchandise, attending events, booking services, subscribing to memberships, submitting content, or participating in our forums — you agree to these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you may not use our Services.

We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Use of Services

• You agree to use CLT Shooters Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

• You may not use our Services to infringe on the rights of others, transmit unlawful material, or engage in harmful, harassing, defamatory, or abusive conduct.

• We reserve the right to refuse service, restrict access, or terminate accounts for anyone who violates these Terms or engages in inappropriate conduct or any other reason we deem necessary.

• CLT Shooters may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of its Services at any time without notice. We are not liable for such changes.

4. Membership Terms

Membership Access and Cancellation

• Memberships may be canceled by you at any time.

• If a refund is requested, only the current active billing cycle is eligible. No refunds will be issued for past or closed billing cycles.

• If a membership payment fails, we will attempt to charge the account again 7 days later. If the second attempt fails, the membership and all associated access will be terminated. Membership can be restored by re-enrolling with a valid payment method.

Membership Content and Features

• Membership benefits, features, and access may change over time. We reserve the right to add, remove, or modify membership offerings without prior notice.

• Membership does not guarantee publication in our magazine, inclusion in promotional content, or access to all events. Selection and availability are at our discretion.

• The Studio Memberships included 2 hours of studio time are only valid for the current billing cycle. The hours do not stack or transfer month to month. If you do not use your 2 hours of studio time within the current billing cycle, they expire and are no longer redeemable.

Termination of Membership

• We reserve the right to terminate memberships and revoke access at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, unsafe or disrespectful behavior, misuse of Services, or other reasons we deem appropriate.

• No refunds or credits will be issued for memberships terminated due to violations.

5. Account Information and Communications

• You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering for memberships, purchasing products, or booking services.

• You consent to receive emails, newsletters, and communications from CLT Shooters. You may unsubscribe at any time by following the link in our emails or contacting us at contact@cltshootersmedia.com.

• We are not responsible for issues arising from incorrect or outdated contact information you provide.

6. Non-Endorsement

• CLT Shooters may feature individuals, organizations, products, or events in our content. Such inclusion does not constitute an endorsement of their views, actions, services, or opinions.

• We are not responsible for the conduct, policies, or actions of third parties featured on our platform.

7. Availability of Services

• Services, events, products, and features are offered subject to availability and may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

• We make no guarantees regarding the availability of any event, workshop, membership feature, or product, and are not liable for changes to availability.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

• Our website and communications may include links to third-party websites or services. CLT Shooters is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties and disclaims all liability for any damages arising from their use.

• Your use of third-party websites or services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and CLT Shooters regarding the Services. They supersede any prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether written or oral.

11. Events, Participation, and Liability

CLT Shooters organizes and hosts events including, but not limited to, workshops, styled shoots, community meetups, networking sessions, classes, and other gatherings (“Events”). By attending or participating in any Event, you agree to the following:

Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk

• Your attendance and participation at any Event is voluntary and entirely at your own risk.

• You acknowledge that Events may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, interaction with other participants, exposure to natural elements, transportation risks, and general hazards of public gatherings.

• By attending, you assume all risks of injury, illness, property damage, loss, or other consequences, whether foreseen or unforeseen.

Release of Liability

• CLT Shooters, its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, and affiliates are not responsible for your personal safety, belongings, health, or well-being at Events.

• By attending, you release and discharge CLT Shooters and its team members from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages, whether direct or indirect, arising from your participation.

Responsibility for Belongings

• You are solely responsible for your personal items at Events. CLT Shooters is not liable for loss, theft, or damage of personal property.

12. Conduct and Removal

Behavior Standards

CLT Shooters is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all Events. All attendees must:

• Treat others with respect.

• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

• Follow instructions from CLT Shooters staff and contractors.

Right to Remove

• We reserve the right to remove or refuse entry to any individual at any time for any reason, including unsafe, disrespectful, disruptive, or belligerent conduct.

• Removal from an Event does not qualify for a refund or credit.

• Local authorities may be contacted if necessary to ensure safety and security.

Permanent Bans

• CLT Shooters reserves the right to ban individuals from all future Events and Services if they violate these Terms or engage in dangerous or harmful conduct.

• No refunds or compensation will be issued in such cases.

13. Assumption of Risk at Meetups and Public Gatherings

• Attendance at informal meetups, photo walks, or public gatherings hosted by CLT Shooters is subject to these same Terms.

• We are not responsible for injuries, accidents, or incidents that occur during or as a result of meetups, even if we facilitate introductions or promote the gathering.

• You are responsible for using good judgment, meeting others in safe and public environments, and taking appropriate precautions.

14. Minors and Guardianship

• Individuals under 18 years old may attend Events only with a parent or legal guardian present.

• The parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for the safety, supervision, and conduct of any minors they bring.

• CLT Shooters assumes no responsibility or liability for minors at Events.

• By bringing a minor to an Event, the parent or guardian accepts all risks and agrees to these Terms on the minor’s behalf.

15. Medical Conditions and Emergencies

• CLT Shooters is not responsible for any medical conditions, injuries, illnesses, allergic reactions, or emergencies that may occur before, during, or after an Event.

• Attendees are solely responsible for their own medical needs, insurance coverage, and emergency preparedness.

• In the event of a medical incident, CLT Shooters may contact emergency services, but assumes no liability for outcomes.

16. Media Rights at Events

• By attending any Event, you grant CLT Shooters the unrestricted right to photograph, film, record, and capture your likeness, voice, or performance in any medium.

• These materials may be used for any purpose, including but not limited to marketing, promotion, editorial, portfolio, advertising, sponsorship, and social media.

• You waive any right to compensation, approval, or notification related to such use.

17. Staff and Contractor Protections

• CLT Shooters team members, including photographers, videographers, instructors, contractors, and volunteers, are entitled to a safe and respectful working environment.

• Any form of harassment, unsafe behavior, or interference with their work will result in immediate removal and potential banning from future Services.

• Team members may refuse service at any time if they feel unsafe, threatened, or disrespected.

• Any disputes or concerns must be addressed with the Creative Director or CLT Shooters management team, not with individual photographers or videographers.

18. Exclusivity of Photography and Videography

• Unless explicitly agreed upon in writing, CLT Shooters photographers and videographers must be the sole content providers at any Event, shoot, or project we are contracted for.

• Other vendors, guests, or attendees may not hire or bring additional photographers/videographers without prior written approval.

• If unauthorized parties interfere or capture content, CLT Shooters is not responsible for lost, corrupted, or affected photos or videos.

19. Service Refusal

• CLT Shooters reserves the right to refuse service at the time of a shoot or Event for any reason, especially in cases where staff feel their safety, health, or well-being is at risk.

• Clients must treat all staff with respect and professionalism.

• If service is refused due to unsafe or disrespectful behavior, no refund will be issued.

20. Content Ownership and Licensing

All creative work produced by CLT Shooters, including photographs, videos, audio, graphics, designs, digital assets, and publications (collectively, “Content”), remains the sole property of CLT Shooters, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Ownership

• CLT Shooters retains full ownership and copyright over all Content we create.

• Clients, collaborators, and attendees are granted a limited license to use delivered Content for personal, promotional, or agreed-upon commercial purposes.

• This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable if these Terms are violated.

• We retain full ownership and copyright of all content that we create or capture, visual, written or any other medium, including fully produced or non produced content, including all raw photos and videos. We will not deliver raw or unedited photos or videos to anyone for any reason.

Use of Content

• CLT Shooters reserves the right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and use any Content we produce across all platforms and for any purpose, including marketing, portfolio, advertising, sponsorship, and editorial.

• Client work may be used by CLT Shooters for promotional and advertising purposes unless licensing rights are explicitly sold in writing.

Licensing Rights

• Clients do not own the Content unless they purchase full licensing rights through a separate agreement.

• Without such an agreement, all copyright and usage rights remain with CLT Shooters.

​

Third-Party Restrictions

• Clients may not sell, sublicense, or transfer Content rights to third parties without written consent.

• Unauthorized reproduction or redistribution of CLT Shooters Content may result in legal action.

21. Event Coverage, Interviews, and Public Domain Content

• CLT Shooters retains ownership of all photo, video, audio, and written material captured in public spaces or private venues where we have access.

• We reserve the right to produce, publish, license, distribute, and monetize such content in any form.

• By attending Events or appearing in public areas where CLT Shooters is present, you acknowledge and agree that your likeness, voice, and image may be recorded and used by CLT Shooters.

• You waive any right to approval, compensation, or legal claim related to such use.

• Individuals in public spaces have no reasonable expectation of privacy with respect to being photographed or recorded.

• Redistribution or publication of our content for any reason is strictly prohibited unless agreed upon in writing.

22. Submissions Policy

CLT Shooters may accept creative submissions, stories, event recommendations and other forms of content, suggestions or stories from members, contributors, and the community. By submitting material to CLT Shooters, you agree:

• You grant CLT Shooters a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, publish, reproduce, distribute, adapt, and promote your submission in any format.

• You retain copyright ownership, but acknowledge that CLT Shooters may use your submission without additional permission or compensation.

• CLT Shooters may edit, adapt, or modify submissions for clarity, length, or format.

• Submissions do not guarantee publication on our website, social media, magazine, or other platforms.

• You represent and warrant that your submission does not infringe on third-party rights and indemnify CLT Shooters against any related claims.

23. Magazine Submissions and Editorial Policy

• Submission of content for magazine publication does not guarantee selection, even for paying members.

• CLT Shooters reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit submissions for any reason.

• Specific magazine space may be reserved for members, but membership does not guarantee inclusion.

• If published, you grant CLT Shooters the right to use your work for promotional, advertising, and editorial purposes.

• Published works may be reused, republished, or redistributed across platforms and campaigns indefinitely.

• Requests for removal will be reviewed, but CLT Shooters reserves the right to retain published material as part of our archives or to deny removal requests.

24. User-Generated Content and Forums

CLT Shooters may host forums, comment sections, or user-generated platforms for members.

• You are solely responsible for the content you post.

• CLT Shooters does not endorse user-generated content and is not liable for any harm, loss, or damages resulting from it.

• We reserve the right to remove, restrict, or moderate content at our discretion, including content that is offensive, unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate.

• CLT Shooters is not responsible for disputes, meetups, or agreements made between users via our forums or platforms. We encourage all participants to practice caution, meet in public settings, and use good judgment when engaging with others.

25. Copyright Infringement (DMCA Procedure)

CLT Shooters respects intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyrighted material has been used improperly on our platforms, you may file a notification of infringement by contacting us at contact@cltshootersmedia.com or cltshooters@gmail.com with the following:

1. Your name, address, and contact information.

2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.

3. The specific URL or description of the infringing material.

4. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized.

5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Upon receipt of a valid claim, we will investigate and remove or restrict access to infringing material as appropriate.

26. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Events and Workshops

• Full refunds are available for cancellations made 7 or more days before the event date.

• Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are eligible for credit only, applicable to future events.

• CLT Shooters reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or credit toward a future event.

Merchandise and Magazines

• All sales are final.

• Exchanges are only permitted for merchandise sizing issues when stock is available.

• All print and digital magazine sales are non-refundable.

 

Photography and Video Services

• Deposits are non-refundable if a shoot is canceled within 7 days of the scheduled date.

• A full refund will be issued for cancellations made more than 7 days in advance.

• For large-scale productions or commercial shoots or other shoots that we deem fit, all deposits are non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing.

Digital Products

• All digital products (e.g., presets, guides, eBooks, digital magazines) are final sale and non-refundable once delivered.

​

Memberships

• You may cancel your membership at any time.

• Refunds apply only to the current active billing cycle. Past billing cycles are not eligible for refunds.

• Yearly membership subscriptions may refunded. Refund amount may not be the full original amount and will be determined by how many months your subscription was active.

• If a payment fails, CLT Shooters will retry the charge 7 days later. If it fails again, the membership will be canceled and all associated access terminated.

Newsletter

• You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at anytime by contacting us via email at cltshooters@gmail.com or contact@cltshootersmedia.com or by following the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any newsletter you receive.

Advertising and Sponsorship

• All advertising and sponsorship sales are final and non-refundable once payment is processed.

27. Fulfillment Policy

Merchandise

• Merchandise from presale drops ships within 2–6 weeks of the presale ending.

• CLT Shooters is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, customs, or unforeseen circumstances.

​

Digital Products and Membership

• Digital products and membership features are available immediately upon successful payment unless otherwise stated.

• Some digital products may be delivered on a future date if noted at purchase.

​

Event Tickets

• Event confirmations and tickets are delivered digitally via email. It is your responsibility to provide an accurate email address.

​

28. Affiliate Disclosure

CLT Shooters may include affiliate links in content, articles, posts, and product recommendations. This means we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through those links, at no additional cost to you.

We only recommend products and services we believe are relevant to our audience, but we make no guarantees about their quality or performance.

29. AI Disclosure

CLT Shooters may use AI tools to assist with content creation, editing, or operations. All final content is reviewed and curated by our team and remains the property of CLT Shooters. AI tools do not alter our ownership or responsibility for the content we publish.

30. Financial and Business Disclaimer

From time to time, CLT Shooters may share information, articles, or opinions on business, entrepreneurship, pricing, and financial topics.

• We are not financial advisors, attorneys, or investment professionals.

• Any information we share is for educational and informational purposes only and should not be taken as financial, legal, or investment advice.

• You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on this information. CLT Shooters is not liable for any financial losses or outcomes resulting from your actions.

31. Non-Endorsement

• CLT Shooters may feature individuals, brands, organizations, products, or events. Inclusion of such references does not imply endorsement.

• We do not guarantee or warrant the performance, reliability, or safety of third-party products, services, or information.

• Partnerships, event promotions, interviews with individuals, businesses or organizations, sponsorships, news posts, website posts, paid ads or any other interaction that CLT Shooters may have with any entities that exists outside of CLT Shooters, that interacts with CLT Shooters or that may appear on our or around our platform or ecosystem is not an endorsement by CLT Shooters.

32. Dispute Resolution

All disputes, claims, or legal matters arising from these Terms or your use of CLT Shooters Services will be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

• Jurisdiction: All disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

• Attorneys’ Fees: In the event of legal action, the prevailing party may recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.

• Mediation: Parties agree to attempt good faith mediation before pursuing litigation.

33. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CLT Shooters, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from:

• Your violation of any third-party rights.

• Your participation in our events or activities.

CLT Shooters is not liable for delays, cancellations, or inability to perform due to causes beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, transportation interruptions, or technical failures.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CLT Shooters and supersede all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, regarding the Services.
